TOPAC SIGNS MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH SOUTH AFRICAN TOURISM

Toronto - Senior members of TOPAC ( Tour Operators Promoting Africa in Canada) have announced that they have renewed their agreement with South African Tourism for 2006.

Chris Ronneseth, TOPAC Chairman and Claude Pretorius Portfolio Manager for UK & Americas for South African Tourism met last week along with members of TOPAC and other senior officials from South African Tourism to discuss plans for their joint marketing efforts in 2006.

“Over the past several years TOPAC has developed a strong relationship with South African Tourism and through the efforts of all the members have increased traffic to South Africa from Canada. We are very pleased to continue working with them again this year” said Chris Ronneseth, Chairman of TOPAC.

“We are very happy to be working with the TOPAC Group in Canada again”. stated Mr. Pretorius. “We have ambitious goals to increase consumer awareness for travel to South Africa in 2006 and beyond and are planning an aggressive marketing plan with TOPAC.”

TOPAC will be announcing later in the year a schedule of agent and consumer shows which will run across Canada early in 2006. These 12 seminars will feature new consumer content and itineraries from the TOPAC members which will include a wider choice of accommodation and destination options in South Africa.
